About Me

Tracy's Silouette

Oh my, aren't you the sly one. And I thought I was so clever and had hidden this page well.

What can I say? It's so easy to write about my mother and the book she dedicated so many years of her short life to writing. But when it comes to telling you about me. Well, do you really need to know?

My husband, Lloyd, and I live in Lakeland, Florida. It is the last place my mother called home. I like it here in Florida with the warm, sunny weather. Lakeland is situated in Central Florida between Tampa and Orlando, in case you never heard of it.

We do not have any children, but we have five cats and a German shepherd. The cats are Spook, Pip, Molly, Precious and Jake. Zoey is our shepherd. We adopted her from the pound. Spook came to us a few years ago. She is solid black and seems to have a lot of Persian in her. She's very soft and fluffy. Spook picked Lloyd up on a car lot he used to work at. Jake came to us New Year's Eve 2000. Lloyd was coming out of a convenience store when Jake meowed at him. Lloyd said, "Hey, buddy. How's it going?" Jake followed Lloyd to his truck. Lloyd got in and shut the door. He looked out to see Jake starring at him, and opened the door again. Lloyd said, "I can't promise you much, but if you jump in I'll take you home and give you a meal." Jake jumped in the truck and home they came. Jake's been with us ever since.

Pip and Molly arrived in June 2001, when they were two of five kittens found at Scotty's where I used to work. They are both calicos and have been a joy ever since they came to live with us. A year later Molly gave birth to a litter of kittens. We found homes for all of them except Precious, the runt. Just couldn't bear to part with her.

Lloyd and I own Coyote Communications, Inc. We provide desktop publishing and bulk mailing services to small businesses here in Lakeland. Lloyd does all the legwork and handwork, and visits the clients. I do all the computer work. I design the newsletters and postcards. Lloyd takes the artwork to the printer, and then picks it up when it is ready. I CASS Certify the mailing lists and print the labels. Lloyd sticks the labels on, and carries the mail to the post office when it is ready.

I am the webmaster of this site and a few other sites that our clients have hired me to create. I spend every free moment I have working on this site and promoting it to let people know about my mother's wonderful book.

With what little spare time I have remaining, I enjoy handiwork: knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross-stitch. I am not one to sit still with idle hands. I am always doing something. I also enjoy collecting Amy Lacombe's Whimsiclay Cat Figurines, and as I adore balloons, Sandra Boynton's Mugs with Cats and Balloons on them are another favorite of mine.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting our site. I say "our" because I feel like it really belongs to both my mother and me. I feel her with me whenever I am working on it. I hope you were able to find some helpful information about microwave cooking while you were visiting. Please stop by and visit again.

Best wishes,

Microwave Cooking for One

It is a very good cookbook and I have yet to find a recipe that didn't turn out as it was supposed to.—Norm Peterson, Arizona
My hubby keeps looking in the cookbook, and asks "when will you cook this recipe?"—Lori Hamby, Florida
