Conversion Charts from 700-Watt

As you learned in the Timing section, the amount of time you cook food in your microwave is of critical importance. With microwave cooking, the trick is to learn to cook by time not sight. Many people become frustrated when attempting to cook in the microwave because they do not realize that most recipes for microwave ovens are written for the 700-watt oven (the industry standard). However, you may have a different wattage oven than a 700-watt. What do you do?

The answer is easy. Just click below on the box indicating the wattage oven you do have, and you will be taken to a chart that converts cooking times from a 700-watt oven to your wattage oven.

300-Watt 350-Watt 400-Watt 450-Watt
500-Watt 525-Watt 550-Watt 600-Watt
625-Watt 650-Watt 675-Watt 725-Watt
750-Watt 800-Watt 825-Watt 850-Watt
900-Watt 950-Watt 1000-Watt 1100-Watt
1150-Watt 1200-Watt 1250-Watt 1260-Watt
1300-Watt 1350-Watt 1400-Watt 1450-Watt
1500-Watt 1540-Watt 1600-Watt 1625-Watt
  1700-Watt

If your oven wattage is not listed, we will be happy to add a chart here for you. Just post your request at our:
