Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Celebration
Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Collection — Introduced in 2002. Pfaltzgraff celebrated its 200th birthday in 2011. To commemorate the occasion, Pfaltzgraff issued a series of miniature replicas of actual Pfaltzgraff products manufactured through the course of its history. Each replica in the collection represents a different era of Pfaltzgraff history.
Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Miniature Collection
Bicentennial Curio Plaque — This stoneware plaque has been designed with an Authentic Pfaltzgraff Pottery Co. logo in the nostalgic style and colors of the popular Yorktowne pattern. Sized to fit our Curio Cabinet, it can also be used on home cabinets and other flat surfaces. Double-sided tape is adhered to one side for easy and long term adhesion. 5" wide x 2" high x ¼" thick.
2011 Bicentennial George Washington Miniature Crock — The Pfaltzgraff 2011 George Washington Miniature Crock is a replica of an actual crock manufactured by Pfaltzgraff circa 1932. The original crock was produced to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth in 1732. This miniature is the tenth and final replica in the Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Collection, with each piece representing a different era of Pfaltzgraff history. It comes boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Approximately 3¼" high.
2010 Bicentennial Train Cookie Jar — The Pfaltzgraff 2010 Bicentennial Train Cookie Jar is a miniature replica of an actual cookie jar manufactured by Pfaltzgraff circa 1940. The original featured the words "Cookie Train" stamped on top of the engineer's cabin. This miniature is the ninth replica in the Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Collection, each representing a different era of Pfaltzgraff history, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. 3¾" high.
2009 Bicentennial Yorktowne Soup Tureen — The Pfaltzgraff 2009 Bicentennial Yorktowne Soup Tureen is a miniature replica of an actual product manufactured by Pfaltzgraff circa 1970. The original measured 7½" high, and featured a hand-stamped floral motif. This miniature is the eighth replica in the Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial Collection, each representing a different era of Pfaltzgraff history. 3½" high by 4" diameter.
2008 Bicentennial Bean Pot — The Pfaltzgraff 2008 Bicentennial Bean Pot is a miniature replica of an actual product manufactured by Pfaltzgraff circa 1930. The original measured 7½" high, and featured a popular two-glaze dipping technique. The logo, glazes, colors, shape design and stoneware material used are as close to the original manufacturing processes as current technology allows.
2007 Bicentennial Mini Derby Dan Cookie Jar with Lid — The 2007 Bicentennial Derby Dan Cookie jar is a miniature replica based on a vintage item in the "Muggsy" line, manufactured by The Pfaltzgraff Co., from the late 1940's to 1960. The Muggsy line, designed by Norman and Dorothy Jessop of Baltimore MD, included cartoon-like character mugs, cookie jars, laundry sprinklers and bottle stoppers. The shape, design, stoneware material, decoration and colors are as true to the original Muggsy manufacturing process as current technology allows.
2006 Bicentennial Vase — Standing 3¾" high, the 2006 vase, featuring a unique, two-tone glaze, is a replica of a 1930s-era art pottery vase.
2005 Bicentennial Pitcher — Standing 3¾" high, the 2005 Pitcher is a replica of a 1920's era "spongeware" pitcher.
2004 Bicentennial Crock — Standing 3¼" high, the 2004 Crock is a replica of a 19th century crock.
2003 Bicentennial Crock — A replica of an item produced by J.B. Pfaltzgraff Circa 1855-1880 at his pottery in York, PA. The stoneware material is simulated salt glaze and cobalt slip decoration.
2002 Bicentennial Jug — This was the first item issued in the series and it sold out very quickly. A jug signed by Louis J. Appell Jr., was also available.
