Riedel Wine Decanters
Made in Austria by the world's most renowned wineglass maker, Riedel Crystal,
founded in 1756, these decanters are blown from 24 percent lead crystal. Riedel crystal is used
by fine restaurants all over the world and thus must stand up to frequent trips through a dishwasher.
But because lead crystal has a soft, coarse surface to convey intense aromas, Riedel recommends the
decanter be hand washed.

Cabernet Decanter — This decanter allows sediment to settle, clarifying any older
red wine. Even with a young, sediment-free wine, the decanter makes a beautiful serving vessel by
displaying the wine's color. It's machine blown of brilliant 24 percent lead crystal and conforms
to Riedel's exacting standards: colorless, transparent, and thin-walled. It holds 37-1/8 ounces,
ample for a 750-milliliter bottle of wine, and measures 9 inches high. Its graceful, outwardly
curved neck provides a secure grip when pouring. Riedel crystal is used by fine restaurants all

Magnum Cabernet Decanter — This decanter allows sediment to settle, clarifying
any older red wine. Even with a young, sediment-free wine, the decanter makes a beautiful serving
vessel by displaying the wine's color. It's machine blown of brilliant 24 percent lead crystal and
conforms to Riedel's exacting standards: colorless, transparent, and thin walled. It holds 64 ounces,
ample for two 750-milliliter bottles of wine, and measures 11 inches high. Its graceful, outwardly
curved neck provides a secure grip when pouring. Riedel crystal is used by fine restaurants all over
the world and thus must stand up to frequent trips through a dishwasher. But because lead crystal has
a soft, coarse surface to convey intense aromas, Riedel recommends that the decanter be hand washed. |
 |
Magnum Ultra Decanter — This decanter is magnum size (1½ liters), perfect for
one or two bottles of red wine. While the most common use of a decanter is to prevent sediment
in an aged red wine from spoiling the wine's clarity and brilliance, some authorities also
recommend decanting young red wines to give them the opportunity to bloom. In either case,
this spectacular decanter brings a breathtaking elegance to the dinner table. Standing 9½ inches
high on a 9½-inch-diameter base, its proportions are as perfect as the crystal. |
 |
O Decanter — This decanter is a delightful confluence of function and fun. Designed
by 11th generation Maximilian Riedel of the world renowned Austrian glassmaking dynasty, the O decanter
features a very deep punt that accommodates the entire thumb, while the other four fingers securely
cradle the outside of the decanter. This creates amazing stability and control when pouring and the
elliptical mouth allows a perfectly drip free pour. The O Decanter is hand blown, lead crystal and
holds a standard 750 ml bottle of wine. |
 |
Duck Decanter — This strikingly graceful decanter holds 31¾ ounces, perfect for
one bottle of red wine. While the most common use of a decanter is to prevent sediment in an aged
red wine from spoiling the wine's clarity and brilliance, some authorities also recommend decanting
young red wines to give them the opportunity to bloom. In either case, this spectacular decanter
inspired by the shape of a duck contributes a breathtaking elegance to a dinner table. Standing
5-1/8 inches high at the handle, it measures 13 inches from "tail" to "beak." |
 |
Vinum Extreme 35¼-Ounce Decanter — This unique duck-shaped decanter has a
funnel-like neck for pouring wine in and a wide body that allows for excellent oxidation.
Exposure to the air will awaken flavors and aromas in older wines and soften astringent
flavors in young wines. When wine is oxidized, hosts can pour glasses through a narrow spout
in the decanter's "tail." As with the majority of Riedel's fine wine glasses and
accessories, this elegant decanter is mouth-blown of 24-percent full lead crystal, which
shows wine's natural brilliance and clarity. The decanter stands 6-5/8 inches tall and holds
35¼ ounces, which equals one entire bottle of wine. |
 |
Dominus 34¾-Ounce Decanter — Named for the Dominus wines, which are a Bordeaux
blend, this decanter is suitable for moderate to major aeration of Bordeaux region wines and a
variety of other aged reds. The decanter has a wider base than neck in order to expedite the
oxidation process. The simple yet elegantly designed Dominus Magnum decanter has a rounded base
and body that slopes into a long 4½-inch neck, and a slightly flared 1½-inch pouring lip. A
bulb-shaped stopper covers the mouth between pourings. This decanter is mouth-blown of non-lead
crystal, stands 11¼ inches tall, is 4½ inches wide at its base, and holds 31¾ ounces or the
equivalent of one full bottle of wine. |
 |
Dominus Magnum 69½-Ounce Decanter — This decanter is suitable for moderate to
major aeration of Bordeaux region wines and a variety of other aged reds. The larger magnum
version of this decanter holds two full bottles of wine and has a wider base than neck in
order to expedite the oxidation process. The simple yet elegantly designed Dominus magnum
decanter has a rounded base and body that slopes into a long 6-inch neck, and slightly flared
1½-inch pouring lip. A bulb-shaped stopper covers the mouth between pourings. This decanter is
mouth-blown of non-lead crystal, stands 14-3/8 inches tall, is 5 inches wide at its base, and
holds 69½ ounces. |
 |
Dominus Double Magnum 123½-Ounce Decanter — Created with extended storage in mind,
the Riedel family brings you their Dominus Double Magnum non-lead decanter with stopper, in this
handsome, elegant design. |
 |
St. Emillion 33½-Ounce Decanter — As with all of Riedel's fine wine glasses
and accessories, this decanter is made of 24-percent full lead crystal, which shows wine's natural
brilliance and clarity. The simple yet elegantly designed St. Emillion decanter looks almost like
an upside-down margarita glass with a rounded bottom, long neck, and significant ½-inch wide lip.
A bulb-shaped stopper covers the mouth between pourings to slow down the aeration process. The
decanter stands inches tall, is 6 inches wide at its base, and holds 33½ ounces, which equals one
entire bottle of wine. |
 |
Sommeliers 79 3/8-Ounce Decanter — The Sommeliers magnum decanter is suitable for
wines that require substantial aeration and has a wider base than neck in order to expedite the
oxidation process. The decanter has an eye-catching design with a rounded base and sloping sides
that culminate into a 4-inch-long neck with a ridged spiral of glass winding around it. The glass
spiral not only adds an attractive accent but also provides a more secure grip around the decanter's
neck during pouring. This decanter is handmade of mouth-blown full lead crystal, which shows wine's
natural brilliance and clarity. The decanter stands 9 inches tall, is 8 inches wide at its base,
and holds 79-3/8 ounces or the equivalent of two full bottles of wine. |
 |
Vinum 54 5/8-Ounce Decanter — Decanting is a wonderful way to let old wines
breathe while leaving behind the sediment that accrues during aging. Decanting is even appropriate
for younger wines as it can awaken the flavor. As with all of Riedel's fine wine glasses and
accessories, this simply designed decanter is made of 24-percent full lead crystal, which shows
wine's natural brilliance and clarity. The elegant decanter stands 8-7/8 inches tall and holds
54-5/8 ounces, which equals one entire bottle of wine. |
 |
Vinum Cabernet Decanter Gift Set — The two large glasses in this set are ideal
for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and full-bodied red Bordeaux wines like Cabernet Franc. Both
glasses and decanter are from Riedel's Vinum series — machine-blown of brilliant 24 percent
lead crystal. The glasses conform to Riedel's exacting standards: colorless, transparent, and
thin-walled, with lips cut and polished so wine flows smoothly onto the tongue. The glasses are
9 inches high and hold 21½ ounces. The decanter holds 37-1/8 ounces, ample for a 750-milliliter
bottle of wine, and also is 9 inches high. Its graceful, outwardly curved neck provides a secure
grip when pouring. The set comes in a handsome gift box. |
 |
Vinum Extreme Cabernet Decanter Gift Set — The two large glasses in this set
are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and full-bodied red Bordeaux wines like Cabernet
Franc. Both the glasses and the decanter are from Riedel's Vinum Extreme series, distinguished
by the diamond shape of glasses' bowls — a shape reflected by the decanter. The glasses'
shape intensifies a wine's bouquet and enhances its silky texture. Glasses and decanter are
machine-blown of 24 percent lead crystal, and the glasses conform to Riedel's exacting standards:
colorless, transparent, and thin-walled, with lips cut and polished so wine flows smoothly onto the
tongue. The glasses are 9¾ inches high and hold 30-3/8 ounces. The decanter holds 37-1/8 ounces,
ample for a 750-milliliter bottle of wine, and is 9 inches high. |
