Setting the Table: Glassware
Riedel Wine Series
Expressly designed to enhance the enjoyment of tasting fine wines, each
distinct glass in the Wine Series collection is designated for particular varietals. Crafted
from lead-free crystal with machine-blown stems, the glasses share the same bowl shape with
the Vinum line. However, for those who admire a more decorative aesthetic, the Wine Series
incorporates a square-shaped, art deco stem flanked by a three-tiered ridge which encircles
the base and top of the stem, gracefully capturing the light and offering a beautiful presentation.

Cabernet/Merlot Glass Set of Four — Bowl shapes are modeled after Riedel's
popular Vinum series, but because they're machine-made from high-quality non-leaded glass,
they're ideal for the novice oenophile or for everyday use. As with the Vinum series, each
type of glass is carefully formed to bring out the best in a specific varietal. Here, the
shape of bowl and mouth are specifically designed to enhance the flavor, bouquet and texture
of full-bodied reds like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Machine-made in Austria by master
glassmakers, each glass stands 9¼ inches tall and holds 21½ ounces at full capacity. |
 |
Chardonnay Glass Set of Four — The glasses in this set of eight were specifically
shaped to serve white wines, such as Burgundy (white), New World Chardonnay, Corton-Charlemagne,
Meursault, Montrachet, and Recioto di Soave. Each glass stands 7 7/8 inches high and holds 21 1/8
ounces of wine. |
 |
Pinot/Nebbiolo Glass Set of Four — This set of four Pinot/Nebbiolo glasses is ideal
for full-bodied red wines with high acidity and moderate tannins, and the large bowl is a fitting
shape for the wine's complex aroma. Also recommended for serving Barbaresco, Barbera, Burgundy, and
Gamay, each glass stands a striking 8 3/8 inches high and holds 24¾ ounces at full capacity. |
 |
Syrah/Shiraz Glass Set of Four — This set of four glasses is designed to
highlight the intense nose, bold flavors, and sweet finish of Shiraz and Syrah wines. A
versatile shape, the design is also suitable for serving Amarone, Blau Frankisch,
Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Grenache, Hermitage Rouge, Malbec, Mourvdre, and Pinotage. Each
glass stands a striking 9¾ inches high and holds 22 7/8 ounces at full capacity. |
 |
Viognier/Chardonnay Glass Set of Four — These glasses have a slender, four-edged
stem and three delicate ridges that encircle the base and the top of the stem and catch the light
to make a beautiful presentation on a holiday table. The bowl shape follows the philosophy of Riedel's
Vinum line of glasses, where each glass is uniquely developed for each type of wine. The glasses in
this set of eight were specifically shaped to serve white wines, such as Chardonnay, White Burgundy,
Viognier, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Marsanne, Hermitage Blanc, Pinot Gris, and
Semillon. These glasses are 8¼ inches high and hold 13 ounces. |
 |
Water Glass Set of Four — This set of four water glasses makes a handsome
complement to wine stems or an elegant way to serve juice or mimosas. Designed with attractive
vertical sides, each glass stands 8¾ inches high and holds 13 3/8 ounces at full capacity. |
 |
Zinfandel/Riesling Glass Set of Four — This set of four glasses is designed to
bring out the best qualities of Zinfandel and Riesling wines by balancing acidity, tannin, and
fruit. Versatile and handsome, they are also recommended for serving Bardolino, Chianti, Dolcetto,
Montepulciano, and Sangiovese. Each glass stands 8¾ inches high and holds 13 3/8 ounces at full capacity. |
 |
Wine Glass Travel Case — When you travel, take your Riedel glassware with you
safely and securely. The Riedel travel case has a double-snap hand grip, lockable zipper, and
adjustable shoulder strap. This lightweight case comfortably holds three Riedel glasses. |
