Shopping for Microwave Safe Dinnerware
Waechtersbach has been producing quality earthenware since 1832, and
is internationally known as a trend setter in the fine dinnerware
marketplace. There is more to Waechtersbach than dinnerware.
Waechtersbach offers a wide variety of earthenware cups, bowls, and
plates for special occasions or for everyday use.
In addition to the factory, there is a castle that has been the home
of the royal Ysenburg and Budingen Family for more that 700 years. You
will see frescoes, tapestries, and furniture from medieval and
renaissance times, as well as china from various centuries. The
Buedingen Castle looks back on 800 years of history. The fortifications
originate from a moated castle built in the times of the Staufen
emperors. For more than 700 years now it has been seat of one family:
the lords and counts, now princes of Ysenburg and Buedingen.
During the 18th century a family branch in its own right occupied
Buedingen Castle. In the 19th century, the members of the families of
Ysenburg-Buedingen and Ysenburg-Waechtersbach were granted princely
status.
In 1941 Prince Otto Friedrich of the Waechtersbach branch came into
the Buedingen property by inheritance.
The 166 year existence of the Waechtersbach Ceramic factory is a
special obligation to the young management, to safely steer the business
through the next decades.
