I have been scouring the Internet looking for a replacement Anchor Hocking Microware Bacon Rack PM 469-T1 for my mother. She has tried several other products to her dislike and really wants a replacement ... her rack has a crack on the end that collects the fat, after ONLY 24 years of use ... LOL! I would appreciate any help.

Only 24 years? It only lasted 24 years? Good grief, they just don’t make things to last the way they used to!

Well, I have good news, and bad news. The bad news is that Anchor Hocking doesn’t manufacture the item you’re looking for any more, so that’s why you’ve been unable to find it. The good news is … I FOUND IT!!!!!!! And you can find it too! Just go to Anchor Hocking Bacon Trays at eBay. One Item will come up. Part of the description says, This is in excellent condition. Bottom is marked "Anchor Hocking MicroWare PM 469-T1 Made in USA." The picture shows the bacon rack as well as the box, so I doubt it’s even been used.

The current bid is $4.98. If you are not able to successfully win the bid, then keep checking back at ebay about once a week and do the same search. Another one will eventually show up. There are three days and 23 hours left in the auction. Rather than driving yourself crazy bidding against people, just monitor the auction during the end. Then place your bid. You’re more likely to win then.

(Note: Anchor Hocking sold off it's hard plastic division many years ago to NordicWare, and only manufactures glass products. However, Nordic Ware does make a similar Bacon Tray to the PM-469:

In all honesty, you don't even need a special utensil to cook bacon in the microwave unless you are interested in collecting the bacon grease. Bacon is covered extensively at the site: BACON! BACON! BACON!. At the bottom of the page are the Microwave Cooking for One instructions for cooking bacon with a choice of cooking 2 to 3 slices, 4 slices, or an entire pound.)
