Do you have any safety information on where a microwave oven should be placed in a kitchen? That is, should it be at counter height, eye level, where? What are the safety considerations for a microwave at eye level?
Thanks,
Christine
In her article, How to Buy A Microwave Oven, my mother states: Under the cabinet models seem so convenient, but the most convenient to use are the counter top models where you can safely leave the dish in the oven, add ingredients to it and stir and rearrange the food.
Eye level, I assume would mean an under the counter or over the oven model. If you were only going to be using the microwave for heating leftovers, warming, etc., then sure one of these models would be okay. But if you really plan to cook in your microwave, the best thing would be to have it on your counter for the reasons my mother stated.
