I broke my wife's Vision Double Boiler and have been in the doghouse ever since. I have been totally unable to locate another to replace it. I have spent hours on the net trying to locate one without success. Can you help me find one. Apparently they have been discontinued for some reason.

I wish I had a quick fix to get you out of the doghouse! Unfortunately, I just called World Kitchen. They are the distributors of Visions Cookware, and informed me that they quit manufacturing the Double Boiler in 1995.
Visions is a Corning product. One thing you might try doing is monitor the Visions Cookware available for Sale at eBay.
I just looked, and while I was able to find a few Visions items, a double boiler was not one of them. Most people post items for sale for about one week. So, if you visit once a week and search, you might eventually find one. I’ve found that there are a lot of wonderful cookware finds still in the original boxes. Eventually somebody gets around to selling them on eBay. We all get those odd items for Christmas that we have no need for and never use. One person’s junk is another person’s treasure.
Meanwhile, I will keep you email on file, and if I come across any place else that might have the Double Boiler, I will let you know.

Thank you so much for your help! I wish the reply could have been more favorable, but I guess I will just have to spray for fleas again and continue my residence with the family dog.
