Beloved Country by Tracy Porter

Beloved Country was the first pattern in the Tracy Porter line to use actual animal figures as part of the design. The pattern features carefully hand-painted wildlife from the woodlands of America. Tracy Porter designed the line at her Wisconsin studio. "My inspiration came as I watched deer grazing in the meadow outside my kitchen window," Porter revealed. The deer, as well as quail, pheasants, rabbits and bear, are central motifs against a green and earth tone plaid. Berries and oak leaves represent plant life along the border. Many of the accessory pieces have freestanding, fully sculpted animals as knobs or handles.

The Beloved Country pattern was produced from 2002 to 2003 in dinnerware and accessory pieces including dinner plate, salad/dessert plate, soup/cereal bowl, mug, goblet, highball glass, pitcher, canister set, platter, salad bowl, cookie jar, cake plate, tea-for-one, teapot, creamer/sugar, bud vase, bottle stoppers and place card holders. Beloved Country was sold in open stock. If you need replacement or additional pieces for your collection of Tracy Porter Beloved Country, monitor this page on a weekly basis for new listings.

We all receive those odd items as gifts that we have no need for and never use. Yet, one person's junk could be exactly the treasure you want.

Please Note: Not all Tracy Porter is safe for use in the microwave. Patterns with gold or platinum decorations should not be used in a microwave because microwaves can not pass through metal. If in doubt, use this simple test: Is this Utensil Safe for the Microwave?
