Melrose Fine China by Royal Doulton
Royal Doulton Melrose is the name of two discontinued patterns. Royal Doulton Melrose (H4955) features a turquoise rim decorated in gold scrolls and was produced from 1958 to 1975. The second Royal Doulton Melrose pattern gleams with platinum trim and offers a subtle texture with its opalescent borders. Mica-finish scrollwork is imbedded in the pearly borders, and raised white enamel dots add further visual and tactile interest. The second pattern was produced from 2005 to 2008. Neither pattern is safe to use in the microwave because of the gold and platinum trim, respectively.
