The Cities of the World series travels to four cities on four continents: to New York, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Sydney. The designs link the characteristic silhouettes of the metropolises with the popular coffee trend and capture the individual urban lifestyles of each city in artistically minimalistic colors. The result: perfect accord between form and design. Each metropolis has been assigned a main color scheme that then influences the impression made by the design: Tokyo is red, Sydney blue, New York yellow and Rio de Janeiro green. Each city and each cup size has been given an individual motif, designed to resemble intermittently colored black and white graphics. In homage to the uniqueness of the cities, the matching party plates are adorned with the unmistakable town-plans of the cities. The restrained and muted overall coloring of the plates underlines the expressiveness of the collections.
Items from this collection can be effectively combined with other Metropolitan tableware lines. Microwave and dishwasher safe. The other three patterns in the Cities of the World series are New York, Sydney, and Tokyo.
