Precious Gold brings a contemporary excitement to traditional gold and white dinnerware. Strands of 22-karat gold threaded with clusters of three raised gold beads not only look luxurious against the bright white bone china but feel sensuous to the fingertips. Some of the pieces feature a single, understated strand along the edge, while others pulsate with galaxies of the threaded beads waving across the entire border. Especially stunning are the nine-inch accent plates with the gold design on either a black or dark red border. The dinnerware is also available in a Precious Platinum version, and either is beautifully enhanced at the table with Precious full-lead crystal stemware, also from Royal Doulton, which shows the same beaded-strand design. Royal Doulton makes Precious Gold dishwasher-safe at low temperatures. The gold trim on this pattern means it is not safe for use in the microwave.
