Woodland Turkey by Spode

Introduced in 2004. What could be more perfect for an American Thanksgiving than dinnerware featuring a turkey? Spode's Woodland Turkey brings the plump bird to the table on high-quality earthenware, tinted in the browns and russets of fall. The center of each plate shows the turkey in a natural setting, depicted in full color, while the border is comprised of Spode's 19th-century British Flowers pattern, Delamere Brown, in brown on white. Woodland originally showed a variety of game birds on its pieces; this version shows just the Thanksgiving icon. Covered dishes for cranberry sauce or yams and salt-and-pepper shakers shaped like turkeys decoratively augment the dinnerware, which includes a platter nearly two feet in length for even the largest oven-roasted bird. Woodland Turkey, beautifully crafted in the English tradition, may be safely used in the microwave and dishwasher. Mix and match with other Woodland patterns.

Eventually, your item should show up for sale.

When it comes to finding Spode that is difficult to find in stores near you, one of your best resources for acquiring the items you want are sites like Amazon, Etsy, Replacements and eBay, where there are a lot of wonderful finds still in the original boxes. We all receive those odd items as gifts that we have no need for and never use. Yet, one person's junk could be exactly the treasure you want.

Please Note: Not all Spode is safe for use in the microwave. Patterns with gold or platinum decorations around the rim should not be used in your microwave because microwaves can not pass through metal. If in doubt, use this simple test: Is this Utensil Safe for the Microwave?
