The Cities of the World series for 2014 travels to four cities on four continents: to Amsterdam, Cape Town, Moscow and Shanghai. The designs link the characteristic silhouettes of the metropolises with the popular coffee trend and capture the individual urban lifestyles of each city in artistically minimalistic colors. The result: perfect accord between form and design. Each metropolis has been assigned a main color scheme that then influences the impression made by the design: Shanghai is red, Moscow blue, Amsterdam yellow and Cape Town green. Each city and each cup size has been given an individual motif, designed to resemble intermittently colored black and white graphics. The matching party plates are world maps colored in the respective color. With an unprepossessing, discreet sense of color, the plates provide additional emphasis of the evocative power of the décors but offer versatile uses at the same time.
The NewWave Caffé Amsterdam collection can be effectively combined with other Metropolitan tableware lines. Microwave and dishwasher safe. The other three patterns in the Cities of the World series for 2014 are Cape Town, Moscow, and Shanghai.
