Villeroy & Boch Samarah
The melodious name of this stylishly exotic pattern means soft light. In a reliably-styled adaptation, it reflects the European view of a trend of an India influence on Western lifestyle, with its irresistible symbiosis of myth, magic and modernity. The result is an original interpretation of India's glamorous aspects, whose appearance conveys a feeling of peace, offers orientation amid cultural diversity and expresses superiority and self-confidence. Snap-shots of landscapes and light, and details from Indian architecture depict opulence, luxury and tradition. The pattern is not designed on an ethnically folkloric basis, but is emphatically elegant with gold features. It resembles typical henna painting and varies floral motifs, paisleys, ornaments and geometric elements.
Harmoniously combining with the soft, organic form of NewWave Premium, Samarah adds a delicate fashion approach. The color is a calm, subtle, ivory displaying a pattern in an extremely cool gold color, thus underlining its elegance. Layers of color in gold, white and beige lend the pattern an unusual surface texture and convey a sense of valuable depth. Intensifying the oriental character are typical motifs from India, such as paisleys, borrowed from elegant cashmere scarves of the English colonial era, and a fine, delicate contour, reminiscent of Mehndi — artistic decorative body painting using henna. This great variety of pattern concepts offers the chance to lay an extremely elegant table. Mix and match with Samarah Purpur and Samarah Turquoise. Not recommended for use in the microwave because of the gold trim.
